You can run multiple simulations in parallel, but you cannot parallelize a single simulation, due to the nature of what's happening (all calculations must happen in a defined order).

You could break up your simulation in 12 monthly runperiods and collate the results after the fact, loosing a bit in accuracy though. This has been discussed for eg here: https://unmethours.com/question/38611/parallel-simulation-for-single-idf-file-in-energyplus/ and if my memory serves, this is something that JEplus / JESS client does for you.
