@DW. OpenStudio cannot read the entire EnergyPlus IDD. It can generate it, but it cannot read it—reading is more complicated, and also useful in fewer instances. I will let a guru (@David Goldwasser? @Andrew Parker?) describe the detail, but: i) you should be able to import the geometry, constructions, and space and loads, and ii) you would have to recreate the HVAC systems within OpenStudio. Not ideal, but better than nothing. <os management="" hat="">We understand that reading EnergyPlus is important too and we are working on that as resources allow.</os>.
By the way, how did you create this 8.2 model?
