Revision history [back]

The prototype building models for midrise apartment were developed based on the requirements in ASHRAE 90.1 (Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings) while single homes should follow ASHRAE 90.2, which is for low-rise residential buildings. There are residential prototype building models and the link is https://www.energycodes.gov/development/residential/iecc_models. The models were developed by using EnergyPlus. By the way, BEopt is a nice tool to develop models for simple residential homes. It is able to do the zone temperature adjustment.
