My guess is that your surfaces are not in a group representing an OpenStudio space. Geometry outside of OpenStudio groups is not recognized as part of the OpenStudio model. Try copying your spaces, create a new OpenStudio space, double click to enter the space and then paste your geometry. You can then position your space and re-run surface matching.

To match surfaces with the spaces above them (I assume this is what you mean by the attic which is not shown in your image) you have to create geometry that is the exact mirror image of the geometry in your first floor. The easiest way to do this is to use surface intersection before running surface matching.

I'm not sure what happened to your shading objects do you get any error messages when opening the OSM?
