This is an issue that some users have reported and we don't know why it happens. It may be caused by an external program (e.g., antivirus) or may be specific to the computer hardware (e.g., graphics card and/or graphics driver). I successfully ran the first optimization case (VN Ref) locally, so I'm not sure what to suggest.
