For opaque surfaces, in the Material object for the outermost material layers, set Solar Absorptance to zero to eliminate solar gains from the outside surface heat balance. Likewise to eliminate external thermal radiant exchange (with sky and surroundings), set Thermal Absorptance to near zero.
