Revision history [back]

To make the VRF terminal night-cycle:

  1. Create a new schedule that is 0 at night, 1 during the day
  2. Assign this new schedule to the Supply Air Fan Operating Mode Schedule of each VRF terminal.

Background:

According to the ZoneHVAC:TerminalUnit:VariableRefrigerantFlow docs:

Field: Supply Air Fan Operating Mode Schedule

This alpha field defines the name of the supply air fan operating mode schedule. Schedule values equal to 0 denote cycling fan/cycling coil operation. All other schedule values denote constant fan/cycling coil operation.

In OpenStudio, the default schedule for this field is 'Always On Discrete', which always has a value of 1, meaning constant fan/cycling coil operation all the time.
