Greg raised MAXMODLIST from 2048 to 10,000 a month ago, so if you download the head release it is higher (http://radiance-online.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/ray/src/rt/rcontrib.h?annotate=2.14&pathrev=MAIN). If you need it to be higher than that you can change it in the source and recompile.
