I can confirm that it runs fine on my Ubuntu 14.04 virtual machine. machine.
Please note that the BCVTB has been compiled and tested with that version.
So you might want to give this version a try. If the problem persists on Linux then let me know as
you seem to have been able to run the Windows version successfully.
