Unmet heating and cooling hours question

I'm experimenting with energy modeling using Openstudio through Honeybee. I modeled a building and I used the ideal air load system. I got some unmet heating and cooling hours. Shouldn't an ideal air load system yield 0 unmet heating and cooling hours considering it is ideal (energy coming out of the zone = energy going out of the zone)? Am I misunderstanding something here!
