Kyle, thank you. I'll try to send you the file as soon as possible. I think I should clean it a little bit before.

Thank you for your reply, Kyle. It works in 1.8.0 but when I've exported it to 1.9.1 the program showed me an error. So I tried to do what you said and removed StpMgr after district heating component and the problem is still not solved. Could you be so kind to upload your file that works? Either it's a bug, or it's my principal mistake.

Thank you in advance.

Dear users,

maybe it's a silly question but I have a problem with district heating loop. I've already tried to find the answer and have read the topics carefully.

I have a really simple model with Baseboard HW Htg Coil. The coil is autosized. Idea is to compare the sets of exterior wall constructions and glazings and their influence on the water flow rate and end user energy consumption.

So I've made the district heating loop and the error is:

IP: IDF line~3235 Error detected in Object=PLANTEQUIPMENTOPERATIONSCHEMES, name=DISTRICT HEATING OPERATION SCHEMES * ~~~ * Field [Control Scheme 1 Schedule Name] is required but was blank

I know how to correct it manually in energyplus but I really don't know how I can make it in OS.

Thank you in advance.

I've found plug-in for Sketchup and have made the curved surfaces on two clicks. Thank you for help!

So maybe you know the way how to simplify these surfaces in Sketchup?

It's a pity but I can't take a part in the conference 'cause I'm not from USA...

The question about simplifying is still not clear... Does the curved sides make significant contribution to end results?

Jamie, thank you for your reply and editing my post. Yep, I need to simulate it. The question is transformed to should I really need to model this building with all these curves etc. or simplifying the model to one floor square building with multipliers is the better way?

Is it possible to model curved-shaped building like an Evolution tower (but much more smaller :) )?

I think I need an additional plug-in for SketchUp, isn't it?

2015-08-06 08:53:26 -0500 asked a question Where can I find a real project?

Hi, everybody. I've started to work in Energy Plus and now I'd like to make a real building model but I don't know where I can find it. I need a small house and, maybe, multi-story building.

Thank you.
