I am having some trouble getting my model to run. I decided to use just Ideal Air loads but the model gives an error that the Zone 1 (of 9), node 1 inlet node name needs to be specified. If I am not specifying equipment why would I need to specify controls? Thank you, Matt

Hello, How does on make Pat Measures cumulative?
When applying OS Measures I have noticed that there seems to be no way to have a measure apply to the previous in a cumulative chain fashion. i.e. The last measure in a group does not retain changes that were already made which would affect the output.

Greetings good folks, I am not sure how to begin debugging why the PAT measure that simulated AEDG Lighting Controls for Offices. There error statement does not point me in a direction that I can follow. Also, I am not able to copy and paste the error message so a screen shot is below. I can only think that since the building consisted of only a single space type the loop to change the lighting schedule did not like not finding a second space type. Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you, Matt

Greetings, I am a novice OS user seeking to modify a PAT measure to include COP for equipment that was assigned via Zone and not Air Loop.
In my model I am using Cycling PTAC 1 Spd DX Clg Coil with capacity and ratings Autosized. I have tried using the OS measure "Set COP for Single Speed DX Cooling Units" and have discovered this measure will not work unless there are Air Loops. Can this Ruby code be easily changed so that the OS measure will search beyond Air Loops to include all Zone equipment as the EnergyPlus Measure does. I would use the E+ Measure but this will require setting all performance parameters and forgo Autosizing.

I have an existing building which I am modeling with OS V1.6. I have deployed the Calibration Reports measure and am using an EPW weather file purchased that is based on the Actual Meteorological Year (AMY for both 2013 & 2014).
It appears that Open Studio will only accept a single year of data in the .epw file.

Is there a way to get 2 years of simulation output to enable 2 years worth of calibration results in a single run. I suppose one answer is to just run the model twice using just a single year.

Error when combining: When I tried to combine 2013 & 2014 this is my error: [openstudio.EpwFile] <1> Wrap around years not supported for TMY data, /files/SPtMasterTable575532201314amy.epw' cannot be processed.

My calibration report only shows the actual and not the model electric. This feature was working just fine so I know it should still be working. Is there an edit to the OSM than can take me back to where can reload these. How do I remove the built in measure so that it can be reloaded. Is it possible that running PAT affected the script? Is there a file I can delete and reload or is an edit to the OSM needed. Sorry but I think there should be clearer controls that allow for this type of debug. It is a shame that one feels they need to become a programmer to successfully generate reports. Thank you, Matt

Does PAT read in all the utility cost data from OS? It seems this would not be quit correct since a tariff schedule is not part of OS yet. Do you need use the Cloud service to fully analyze Life Cycle Cost? Thank you, Matt

Greetings Folks, I experience crashes with PAT before it has attempted a single run. It happens so quickly that I believe the first New Measure is not even beginning to run. I can have 7 measures that run just fine under One For Each but crashes PAT under One With All Selected Measures. I've looked under all run information but since the run never really initiates there seems to be no record of why the crash happens. Is there a list of know issues that might allow me to avoid this scenario? Thank you, Matt

I would like to ask if this is now functional? I see a new tab: Zone Ventilation Desing Flow Rate with Natural Ventilation. Can this be dropped in any zone regardless of equipment? Where does one find a description for how this works? Thank you in advance.

For smaller buildings with no OA requirements we normally see HVAC equipment in which the fan cycles with the heating/cooling load. From previous posts it seems that Air Loops are not compatible with Cycling (Fan:OnOff). Is it proper to model such equipment as Zone Equipment even though there is an air loop?

As a second question. Is it possible to determine the savings associated with moving the equipment out of a hot attic and into a conditioned space or specifying the amount of ductwork that is in conditioned space versus that which is not?

Hello gentlemen, The bug for opening .osm models that have used the Calibration measures seems to happen whenever a model is not on the computer or file location where the utility data was entered.
The last message I received was to delete all utility billing information and then try running PAT again. This did work but was not a fix. The model cannot be shared and worked on in PAT without taking out the utility bills. Please let me know if you have an intermediate release with this bug fixed.

"I am looking into this to fix it in 1.9.0. I think the bug is related to the Utility Bill object. In the meantime, can you try removing the Utility Bills from your OSM and then create a new PAT project with that OSM?"

I have a model that will not run in PAT but runs just fine in OS. I am not sure what could be causing the issue. I receive the following error when uploading the baseline in PAT. This occurs on 3 different computers using different versions of OS and PAT.

Thank you for your reply. As a novice, I am not familiar with what is considered a workflow in regard to using OS and PAT - but will try some experimentation. A search of my directory for OS 1.8.0 has a folder named CalibrationReports. Should I remove this?
I am not sure where to look for the Copy and how to delete.

Hello David, I was surprised when I did not see E+ installed after installing OS 1.7.0.

Hello gentlemen, I have uploaded OS v 1.70 and Sketchup 2015 pro as well as Energy Plus ver 8.2. However upon launching Sketchup It crashes. Sketchup finds the plugin but does not appear to complete the install.
It is looking for something at a Github site: nextsteps/sketchupplugin_interface I get a 404 error. Is there a location to get a clean install that includes E+ and OS latest version together. Thank you, Matthew Stewart

The measure came from the BCL and I used the Components & Measures tab in the main menu.

Mr. Macumber, I added it from the OS software. I remember this because PAT has been what I typically use to add measures.

Yes - scanning for tools was one of my first guesses. The model was updated from OS 1.6.2 to 1.70 and just after loading OS and PAT I scanned for Tools in both of these. I've just started using the Add Exterior Lights and did this using OS 1.7. I am not seeing the expected measure.rb files as I see with other measures such as the end use breakdown or QC measures.

Dan, The add exterior lighting measure was added in Open Studio and not PAT. I have been letting Open Studio and PAT put measures wherever they normally do and have not been moving measures around.
Seems that all measures end up with PAT but I am not entirely sure about that. I can go back to an earlier version of the model that did not have the exterior lighting measure and upload it into PAT then add the exterior lighting. As it stands I would say that OS failed to generate the necessary files to run the measure using PAT.

Thank you. I tried that and a lot of other stuff related to file location. I am thinking that adding the exterior lighting might be the culprit. I do not see an exterior lighting measure in the measures folders.

Dear Sirs, I am getting an unusual error when attempting to run Pat 1.7. My baseline runs just fine. The error message is: An unhandled exception has occurred. Passed in measure does not have a primaryRubyScriptPath set, which is required for RubyJobBuilder.
