Hello Has anyone tried using a DesignBuilder-generated idf file for CBECC-COM, California compliance modeling tool before? My purpose is to export an idf from DesignBuilder to OpenStuido and from OpenStuidio, export a SDD file to be used in CBECC-com. While trying this process a received a long error message, which basically meant that my spaces were not translated, people load were not translated and so on.

Does anyone have a suggestion about running Energy Efficiency Measures (EEM/ECMs) in DesignBuilder in an efficient manner? You can create your baseline and manually make each single change, such as change the U-value of roof, one by one in each simulation. But the problem is when your baseline is changed. Your work is wasted when you make a change in your baseline. I want to know if you have any suggestions for this process In DesignBuidler.

Thanks for your help. The problem is that I do not see that output in my current settings for VRF.

I am modeling an HVAC system, where my rejected heat by VRF condensing unit is used/recovered for heating domestic hot water. Do you know how I can get an hourly output of my VRF rejected heat in Energyplus?

Thanks for your comment. My purpose was to draw a model in SketchUp and export it to DesignBuilder and Trace as gbxml. I created a very simple box with one thermal zone in SketchUp OpenStudio Plug in and followed your instructions. In DesignBuilder, all surfaces except for the window were exported successfully. But the big problem is that the Thermal Zone is not recognized and walls are separate external walls. In Trace, I was successful to export the model from SketchUp. Do you know any solution for exporting to DesignBuilder? I appreciate your help in advance. Ladan

I was wondering if you could export your SketchUp model to gbxml format.

1. Can you use OpenStudio SketchUp to do that?
2. Has anybody have any experience with gModeller? I installed it but it doesn't work for me.
