I'm working on project to design family house and I already selected midrise building type to do so. Unfortunately this building type contain three space types namely: apartment, corridor and office. My question is how to add more space types such as bedroom, living room, guest room, bathroom and kitchen to the midrise building? Can I use more than one building type to enable me use their space types in the same time and how? Thanks in advanced

How can I create an unconditioned thermal zone?

I'm studying thermal behavior for a building without adding HVAC system or ideal loads. So, I need to create the unconditioned thermal zone.

If the building has multiple spaces, does the created thermal zone can be assigned for all spaces or should I create multiple unconditioned thermal zone?

Yes. I'm talking about Add Wind and Stack Open Area. and I didn't found any results for it in IDF file.

I just checked the IDF file I found no results for ZoneVentilation:WindandStackOpenArea.

I am using OpenStudio 1.11.1 and energyplus version is 8-5-0.

my building consists of single story with attic, and I am not using ideal load or HVAC system, after I run the simulation I get 26 errors:

19 errors due to surface matching even the sketchup didn't show any errors after surface matching: (I used matching tool and intersections for matching), however I noticed that all the errors are due to surface matching between the interior ceiling and the attic floor.

and 7 other errors as shown in following figure:
