pressure at airchanges When I obtain a graph for air changes in my house, it this measured at 50Pa?

2017-03-21 13:19:02 -0500 asked a question What is the conversion from MBtu to kWh?

From the HVAC Load Profile, is 1 MBtu equal to 1 000 000 Btu? And is 1 Btu equal to 0.00029307106944 kWh? Or can you say how many kWh is 1 MBtu?

2017-03-07 15:51:15 -0500 commented answer How to export graph from openstudio to excel?

I am talking about the graphs I can see when opening the result viewer. I have a temperature graph and a humidity graph for a period of one year. I would like to plot corresponding point (temperature vs. humidity) on a graph in excel. Is there any way I can extract the data to copy it into Excel?

2017-03-07 09:26:57 -0500 asked a question How to export graph from openstudio to excel?

I have temperature and humidity graphs in openstudio I would like to export somehow to excel in order to plot a graph in excel. How can I do that?

2017-02-28 05:03:22 -0500 commented question air-to-air HVAC loop

I have tried to make two temperature schedules and place them under thermal zone tab under heating and cooling respectively, but that does not seem to control the temperature in my thermal zone

2017-02-27 16:56:34 -0500 commented question air-to-air HVAC loop

I have added air terminal now, and the the analysis runs. However, I do not think it has any result on the temperature/humidity. Will this HVAC system warm up the incoming air by using the exhaust air (at least to some extend) and how do I set for example the temperature ranges I want to have? Lets say I want the temperature inside to be between 18 and 22 degrees. Thank you

I have checked the question and I do not think any of the 5 errors mentioned occur in my file... How can I connect the splitter to the zones?

2017-02-24 06:55:52 -0500 asked a question air-to-air HVAC loop

I have created the following airloop, but I get this error: * Severe * IP: IDF line~4297 Object=CONTROLLER:MECHANICALVENTILATION, name=CONTROLLER MECHANICAL VENTILATION 1, Required Field=[Zone 1 Name] was blank. How and where can I fix that? I have checked some other posts about this issue, and things like design days and design specification outdoor air seems to be fine.

My loop looks like the one in the picture above, except that I have added my thermal zones on the bottom in the middle.. Where can I add any outdoor air, or anything else I would need to fix that error?

2017-02-22 15:30:09 -0500 commented answer How to create air to air loop?

Thank you, I added all that you mentioned and then I had the following error: Severe ** IP: IDF line~4297 Object=CONTROLLER:MECHANICALVENTILATION, name=CONTROLLER MECHANICAL VENTILATION 1, Required Field=[Zone 1 Name] was blank. How can I fix that?

2017-02-21 15:26:18 -0500 asked a question How to create air to air loop?

I want to create an air to air loop using HVAC such that the air that is entering the house will be warmed up by the air going out of the house. This would then work instead of ventilation. I have created an empty air loop and added the thermal zones in which I want the HVAC system to work, but then I am not sure what else to add so that it will work.. What more and where do I need to add things to create such a loop?

2017-02-17 08:56:57 -0500 commented answer design of water pipes in the floor in openstudio

Do I change that under construction or somewhere in the thermal zone tab?

2017-02-17 06:50:23 -0500 commented answer design of water pipes in the floor in openstudio

I tried to do that, but I get following errors: * Severe * IP: IDF line~413 Object=ZONEHVAC:LOWTEMPERATURERADIANT:SURFACEGROUP, name=LOW TEMP RADIANT CONST FLOWFLOORS, Required Field=[Surface 1 Name] was blank. * Severe * IP: IDF line~413 Object=ZONEHVAC:LOWTEMPERATURERADIANT:SURFACEGROUP, name=LOW TEMP RADIANT CONST FLOWFLOORS, Required Field=[Flow Fraction for Surface 1] was blank. How can I fix them so that it works correctly?

2017-02-15 13:16:54 -0500 asked a question design of water pipes in the floor in openstudio

If I want to have pipes in the floor (inside the concrete) that will have warm water running through them and thus being able to heat up the rooms slightly, is there an easy way to design that in OpenStudio?

That doesnt solve the problem..

2017-01-31 14:45:38 -0500 commented question Cant edit material properties, what can cause this?

OpenStudio Version 1.14.00 Under Constructions-tab if I want to create a new material(or change an exisiting one), it doesnt allow me to change its properties (thickness, density etc.). If I leave this tab and come back to it, the changes are not saved and the original values appear.

What is the meaning of design specification outdoor air, space infiltration design flow rates and space inflitration effective leakage areas? And how to define these parameters for a simple residential house?

2017-01-31 14:06:39 -0500 asked a question cant edit material properties

Hello, I cant seem to change the material properties (ie. density, specific heat, thickness etc.) to the values that I want, as they just keep reversing automatically back to the original values. I do not know if that affects the other parts of the programme as well (seems like it might be locked somehow). I have no idea what can cause this... Can someone help out? Thank you
