That is something that we considered (and will likely settle with doing moving forward), but we were hoping to maintain a percentage of standard glazing on the facades with glass patio doors while varying the properties of the patio doors themselves (U-value and SHGC). Unfortunately, I don't think BEopt allows you to include windows with two different property sets on the same facade, or at least to my knowledge. |
2016-12-13 13:10:22 -0500 | asked a question | Glass Sliding Patio Doors in BEopt I am currently attempting to model glass sliding patio doors on the exterior of a multifamily unit and am having no luck in creating an exterior door. I realize that there also does not exist an option to create a glass door, so I am proceeding with adjusting the U-value to attempt a semi-more accurate representation. Is there a way to specify doors to an exterior facade? Thanks for the help! Matt |

2016-12-13 10:57:20 -0500 | asked a question | Custom Window Placement in BEopt I am wondering if there exists any options for manually placing windows and doors within BEopt. I realize that windows are typically modeled as either an absolute area of the facade, a fraction of each facade's exposed wall area, or a percentage of exposed wall areas for each facade. I am simply wanting to custom specify the exact dimensions and wall placement location of windows and doors in each unit of a modeled multifamily building. Is this possible? |
