Does anyone have any experience running simulations on PV arrays using E+ I would like to run some projects and try to determine the effects obstructions are having on PV Perfomance. I have done some research on NREL SAM, seems user friendly but have some concerns on accuracy. No expeience using E+ on a PV system. Are there any instructions, videos, etc.? Can 3D Modeling Softwarde be used? Thank You in Advance. |

I have a very large open area with several tstats everytime I try to split it into smaller zones surface and surface match it I have problems such as boundary conditions changing, white surfaces, etc. I split up the space copied it then created a new space and selected Paste In Place that works fine but when I try to match surfaces it does not like that. Thank you in advance. |

2014-10-09 06:16:02 -0500 | asked a question | Modeling vs Money I have been involved in energy conservation for about 4 years and about 6 months ago decided to focus on building modeling using DOE Tools (E+, OpenStudio). I am doing this on a consulting basis and not having enough luck to keep the money flowing quickly enough. Modeling seemed like a service that not a great deal of ESCO's want to deal with because of the learning curve so I took it on. I thought it would make sense to provide an assesment (including financials) along with the cost of not making the investment to building owners but it seems like I get no traction. Am I a dog chasing it's tail? |
