2016-07-31 16:32:00 -0500 | asked a question | high pressure sodium lights fraction radiant, visible, return air values? I am using a high pressure sodium lights for modeling a grow room. I know the energy per space floor area value but couldn't really find values for fraction radiant, visible and return air. Do I need these values to represent the kind of lighting that I am using or just the energy density is enough? And where will I find these values? |

2016-07-25 23:24:37 -0500 | asked a question | Different results while using ideal air loads and actual hvac system? I don't know if this question is asked before or not, I tried searching it but couldn't find the exact answer. I am modelling a single zone room using an ideal air loads system. Also tried using a actual hvac system to the same zone using Rooftop unit. Why are the annual heating/cooling loads using a hvac system less than the ideal air load system?( for eg. with ideal air loads district heating load 7.8 Mbtu and for system using rooftop unit 2.7 Mbtu). why a huge difference? thanks, |
2016-07-24 19:55:44 -0500 | asked a question | Two different R-values for roof for a day? I am modelling a greenhouse and I need to give 2 different R-values for roofs. I have a roof with R2.6 during day and same with R4.6 during night. Can I do this in openstudio? |
