However, I can't seem to find glazing SHGC and visible transmittance included anywhere. It is shown in the output HTML table, so I assume it is included somewhere in the SQL file. Can anyone point me to the table which includes this information in the SQL file? |
2017-01-13 14:53:13 -0500 | asked a question | Heat Pump Water to Water Controls I am trying to model a chiller plant for a building with heat recovery chillers and air cooled chiller. The heat recovery chillers (water to water heat pumps in OS) need to turn on first on the cooling side but regulate to the heating demand. In Summer months when more cooling is required the hot water loop overheats from the heat recovery chiller dumping too much heat into the loop. Error is shown below. Does anyone have a suggested work around to this issue? |

2016-12-12 22:32:10 -0500 | asked a question | VAV Reheat Coil Sizing I am having a problem with heating unmet hours on a VAV system that appears to be an issue with the reheat coil. The problem only occurs in internal zones where the heating load on the coil is due to reheat only. On exterior spaces where there is envelope load there is not problem. The issue is most obvious in large spaces where ACH are high compared to internal loads. The VAV box is supplying air near 55F and not reheating to meet the temperature setpoint. It appear that the coil is not being sized for the reheat load and only for whatever exterior load exists which is none. Here is my sizing:zone object C:\fakepath\Capture.PNG Here is my sizing:system object C:\fakepath\Capture1.PNG The loop set up is simple with a HW loop operating at 130F with a 40F delta T serving the air loop. Does anyone have insight into why the coil is being sized incorrectly and I am seeing unmet hours? |

2016-11-11 12:06:02 -0500 | asked a question | OSM Diagnostic Script Doesn't Resave File I want to run the OSM diagnostics to remove some very degenerate surfaces. I've done this before and usually the script saves a new file called "filename_diagnostics.osm" after running. The last few times I've tried it does save anything after running. Any ideas on how I can get it to resave the file again so I can use the changes it makes? Thank you! |
