How can i setting the Reflection on Radiance Simulation model? where the setting? in my model i must no using reflection of the daylight, is there any solution?

i'am using OpenStudio Radiance 1.11 to simulate the illuminance map of my object. My research is focus on the Daylight potential on the building. its a good thing, if i can costumize the Reflection Factor of my model. Is it possible?

I Cant do the simulation when there's so many Illuminance Map in 1 Zone, in Different space. In my Building Model, i decide to break the space into 6 different zone and each zone with 1 Illuminance Map. But Why the Simulation doesn't not complete to finish. oh ya, i use 1 Thermal Zone for all illuminance Map and Space. Hope you can help me.

How i can see the detail calculation of my Weather data? In my thesis, i want to get the Daylight factor that i can get from the ratio Illuminance Indoor and Sky Illuminance. So the OpenStudio Radiance can do the calculation that the output is Illuminance, but i need do manually calculation to get Daylight Factor. How i know, the Sky Illuminance Value of my Weather Data that i used to the simulation? or all the detail data.

Before, i success to export from RadOut.sql Files to the CSV Files. But still i the result doesnt fulfill my expectation. I Hope that The Result Files (see the Images) the graphic result can export as Excel Data, so i can present the data easily in my report.

By using the DB SQLite Browser, i try to converst the SQL files to CSV Files

But i cant read The Result (CSV Files converted), i dont know how to read the data.

Can you help me why this is happen? is that the SQL file only read like that? is there any chance that i can read the data more easily? Thankyou

yess so i do the export using SQLite database browser. And now i had to learn more about this software. is it possible that we know what the units of data, in CSV files? because the result only number without the unit measure.

sure, i have to search in the PostProcess and also share folder, but still there is no .exe file name ReadVarsEAO.exe. i use the OpenStudio 1.11.5 Version.

I am currently do simulation using OpenStudio Radiance and would like to know how I can export full EnergyPlus simulation results to a .csv file through OpenStudio? If it's not possible, what program i can use to transform eplusout.sql to the .csv file? . . .

Once the OS has been ran, you can turn the eplusout.eso file which contains the hourly results into a .csv by using the ReadVarsEAO.exe program that comes with E+ located here : C:\EnergyPlusV8-3-0\PostProcess

I usually copy the eplusout.eso file into a empty folder and then also copy in the ReadVarsEAO.exe. Simply double click the ReadVarsEAO.exe file and it will create a file called eplusout.csv.

in my Energyplus Folder there is no ReadVarsEAO.exe. files, so what should i do next? thankyou

oh ya, about the measure things before, why the schedule CSV files output there is no information what the unit data that used to?

oh okay i see. So the radiance only export this daylightmetrics.csv - this file contains data for the following metrics for daylight simulation. Daylight Autonomy (DA) Continuous Daylight Autonomy (cDA) Useful Daylight Illuminance (UDI)

oh i see, so the positioning placement measure effect to the workflow of the simulation? yes and i do the Replacement, and di simulation has no error but still some warning but its okay. Thankyou. Hello guys, my name is Adityo. There is something happen to my Simulation on The OpenStudio Radiance. From my model, i want to do some simulation about Daylight. I make the simple model in sketchup and export the OSM file to run in the OpenStudio. For standar simulation (Only Radiance Measure), the simulation goes well. For further, i want the output of my model is more than graphic illumination. so, i install some BCL measure. (see the screenshot)

But after i add some measurement, the simulation doesnt run well as i expect. thereis no output file, CSV files. and also some error in the Log. (See the screenshot)

in this situation, i need my models can run the simulation and comes with CSV files as the output. So, the problem is in my Model (Sketchup) or the openstudio Radiance. I Need your opinion, because this is my first time use the OpenStudio Radiance, and using this as my tools for the thesis. And also, i dont know if thereis wrong to use the BCL measure in my model. (the step install ruby and the environment Path in Windows 10)

Great, thanks. OK so I ran your model here on OpenStudio 1.11.1 and it ran fine. If possible, I'd recommend getting the latest "iteration release" (currently 1.11.3) which you can grab here. If there's any way to put your entire run directory (from the failure) on Dropbox , I'd love to take a look at the logs. If not, no big deal, just grab a newer OS release and try again. Should work for ya on 1.11 or greater.

Thankyou for your help solution. After installed the Lastest OpenStudio release (1.11.3), the simulation run well (but Still with some warning). But now i can see the result, so i can sleep well tonight hahaha.

The Simulation is not running well. i use the modeling Building in Sketchup, i make the simple model for Verificating the Program Run Well.
