Dear all,

I am using the EnergyPlus Python API and try to plot the daily energy consumption of a building. It is working for every day besides the first day of simulation. It seems like the callback_end_zone_timestep_after_zone_reporting Callback is called multiple times for the first day of the weather file. See the resulting plot in the attachement. Any ideas how to avoid this?

Next, I have seen hat the simulation goes through a DESIGN DAY and a RUN PERIOD X period. Do you know the differences?

Thank you! Pimage description

Dear all,

I can't access the Zone,Average,Daylighting Reference Point <x> Illuminance [lux] output. It is also not listed in my rdd file. I have a Daylighting Output Control and a Reference Point object in my idf file. Do you know, how I can activate this output?

Thanks in advance! P

Dear all,

I am looking for a solution on a beginner problem:

I want to extract the indoor air temperature of one specific thermal zone during runtime (with the python api). I did not find a solution in the documentation yet. Any hint is highly welcome!

2020-12-24 19:20:06 -0600 marked best answer E+ Python API on macOS?

Hi there,

is here anyone using the EnergyPlus Python API on macOS? I was following the build instructions on cmake accurately (twice) but receive the following error message:

ERROR: Could not find ExpandObjects executable: /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/3.9/Resources/Python.app/Contents/MacOS/ExpandObjects.

I also tried it within an Anaconda Environment receiving a similar error message:

ERROR: Could not find ExpandObjects executable: /Users/user/opt/anaconda3/envs/buildingAutomation/bin/ExpandObjects

Can anyone help?

Best Regards, P
