@rpg777 It's already Theoretical Glass. The thing is that everything is ok before adding the Radiance Daylighting measure and the simulation runs perfectly. But right after adding the measure it gets failed.

Hello people, I was using OpenStudio 1.10.0 and when I added the Radiance Daylighting Measure and ran the simulation, it got failed immediately after a few seconds. When I check the Tree tab there is no .err file to see the errors! According to this post I upgraded it to 1.10.4 and added another daylighting measure and got the same result. Now I'm using 1.10.5 and it still doesn't work! Any help please?

Why does not vertical illuminance map work? I have a 6 story building which I don't want to place an individual illuminance map for every single floor. Instead I wanna put all of em in a thermal zone and add a vertical illuminance map in it (close to the facade) in order to see the light reflections off diffuse surfaces. But when I do it in sketchup, close and reopen the geometry again, the map is gone! Is that even logical to do so or is my idea basically stupid?

Awesome! Found it. Thank you so much. But I sill have this problem remaining for construction. I mean I can not find any construction sets among the archives of the library which is appropriate for the shading. Or maybe there is a way to make my own construction set which I don't know about? I want to customize it since it's not similar to any default materials. Sorry if I'm knowledgeable about this.

I need to make a comparison between lighting simulations before and after adding some shading surfaces. The problem is that I can not find any construction in library for shadings or even when I try to assign them a transmittance schedule I can not find any part or field which is related to these shadings in OpenStudio application! Any help please?

It's in Florence with a humid subtropical climate. A linear building with the north-south orientation which is the worst orientation since all the rooms get the west sunlight. So to solve this problem I've chosen the plants with the leaves opaque to light. The network will be detached in winter to get more light in btw.

You mean I should separate the network and the balcony? and then put the balcony in a new space so that there would be a kind of floor? What would be the material of the railing and the bars then? (If I put them in a new space the bars will be considered as walls, right? any suggestion?

In my project there is a residential with a shield of scaffolding added to its' facade which is used as a stand for the leaves of plants (basically green wall) to grow on. Hence I need to sort of simulate the leaves in OpenStudio in order to calculate the shadows and so on. I have made one module of this scaffolding in a "shading surface group" and 2 network planes to represent the leaves of the plants! Here is the pic of it. I just wanted to get some advice on it and if you think this approach would work at all! Please guide me how it's better to do that. Thanks

Hello there, When I download new constructions such as glazing, they do not appear in library! I don't know where to find them afterwards so that I can drag them and fill the fields!
