I am using OS 1.11.0 with radiance to evaluate energy performance of a frosted glass in a renovation project in which a low E glass will be mounted to the interior side of the frosted glass. Therefore, I used glazing window materials in OS and modeled three layers: clear glass turning solar diffuse tab on/air/low-E glass. However, the calculation failed. So, I changed the layers to clear glass turning solar diffuse tab off/air/low-E glass turning solar diffuse tab on, then the calculation worked. Is is impossible to model diffusive outer glass?

Further, it seems to be possible to input spectral optical data in Glazing window materials of OS. How can I do this?

I am wondering how EnergyPlus takes incidence angle into account when it calculate solar radiation transmittance from outdoor to indoor. I would believe that there is a different solar heat gain coefficient when solar radiation strikes a glazing pane at noon and afternoon. SHGC in noon could be higher than one in afternoon. Because WINDOW developed by LNBL can show this phenomenon, EnergyPlus could consider SHGC varied in time. Is there information about a calculation method for incidence angle ? In addition, is a calculation method able to consider incidence angle for both a transparent glazing and a translucent glazing?

When I create an easy model of a thermal zone in which there is an illuminance map, a daylight sensor, and then I suceed to finish calculation using radiacne measure, there are no results of illuminace map, nor daylight sensor illuminance.

Although the calculation is finished, there are many error messages; WARN: an error has occurred; no results for space 'Space_101'.

How is this solved? (I am using OS 1.8.5)

My PC in my office cannot access Building Component Library because of security issue, so that my PC needs IP address and Port of a PC saving the data of Building Component Library. I have asked several times using 'Help tab' in the link: https://bcl.nrel.gov/, however, I have not gotten any responses so far.

Please kindly help me by showing IP address and Port.

I have used Openstudio (1.8.5), and then it works well so far. When I open EP-launch in the folder of Openstudio and push a simulate botton, Eneryplus always shows the error message 'crash'. Therefore, I uninstall the Openstudio, and install only Enerygplus, then, Energyplus works well. Is not is possible to independently use EP-launch installed in the folder of Openstudio? I really want to do this, because Openstduio has not cover all functions of Energyplus. It is necessar to input more information after Openstudio creates a model (idf file), using EP-launch. If the current EP-launch of Openstuio does not work independently, I need to prepare two PCs. Please answer this question.

Regarding a room model with several thermal zones created by Openstudio (1.8.5), is it possible to see ideal air loads (total heating/cooling energy) for each thermal zoneI?

I am trying to use Radiance (5.0.a) and OpenStudio (1.8.4). After modeling, I cannot find out the ckeck box on Run simulation of OpenStudio (see the attatched file). The simulation does not run because, probably, I cannot make the check to use Radiance. When I use 'scan for tools' of OpenStudio, the function can detect 'EnergyPlus', 'Radiance' and 'Ruby'.

Is there anyone who can solve the problem above?
