I need my plant loop pumps to circulate the working fluid during some hours with no actual load. I need this to charge the thermal storage tank during no-load conditions. Thermal storage is placed after the chillers mixer and chillers are controlled by cooling load based operation scheme. Also, my plant loop has no common pipe and has I considered Update: Here is a visual perspective and an additional explanation about the virtual load [Ref]: |

2020-10-28 08:37:46 -0500 | marked best answer | OpenStudio Plant Sizing issue I have a primary-secondary chiller with common pipe simulation as can be seen below: I want to have primary and secondary loops separated by an ideal heat exchanger. I created an empty water loop and moved my chiller and constant speed pump to its supply side. Then I added the fluid-to-fluid heat exchanger as below: The issue is that the chiller size (autosize and same chiller) is twice as the previous configuration. I believe it should be the same. I appreciate if you got any advice for me. |

I searched around Unmet Hours and read some of the previous posts. My concern is documentation being out of date. It says that it's "latest" version with no release date. I wonder is it up to date or I should follow GitHub to trace changes? |
