I've noticed a couple of posts regarding wood frame construction and de-rating R values, and I understand it in concept, but how do I know what method was used in the development of the end use shapes? I didn't see anything in the EUSS that described how the R-Value was obtained for the various Wall Cavity materials. I could guess that the baseline was 2x4's @ 16" O.C. with double top plates, etc, and I suppose I could assume the density is from just the wood, as that doesn't seem to change, even if the R-Value does.
But I'd rather have a more clear explanation. Is there a technical document somewhere that describes the materials and constructions used?
Thanks! Brent
