How to trim unwanted zones while tracing thermal zones on AutoCAD drawing in DD wizard of eQuest

As I trace the AutoCAD imported drawing to create thermal zones in eQuest DD wizard, there are some unwanted spaces in the middle which I want to trim. Is there any way to do so
