Power capacity as a input for FMU using EnergyPlus

Hi to all, I am trying to figure out how could I consider a possible limitation of power capacity to the building heating system using EnergyPlus and FMU's process. For a case study of a district heating network with several building, I am building co-simulation environment with each building modelled in EnergyPlus and embedded into FMU and district heating system in a separate model (in python). The output from building's FMU are the energy needs at each time step while the output form the district heating system is the overall available power for next time step. I am using ideal loads system in EnergyPlus but I didn't figure out how to control the heating capacity by being an input for the FMU... does any one has idea of workaround ? thank in advances,
