OpenStudio Crashes with the error "bad cast" and "Access violation - no RTTI data!"

Dear all,

When I opened my OS model this morning I got an error message as I tried to navigate to the "Facility" tab: "An unhandled exception has occurred. Access violation - no RTTI data!".

The last thing I changed from a working model was assigning VRF system for a few zones and removing them from the main chilled water loop. Therefore I tried to delete the VRF system and as I did that I got another error message: "An unhandled exception has occurred. bad cast"

I am aware of another post that addresses this error associated with "measures" and corrupted directory. I have tried all the remedies suggested in that post and it still didn't work.

Any thoughts about what might have gone wrong?
