Hello. I recently updated to OS 3.0.1 and EnergyPlus 9.3. When I open previously valid models with VRF systems, they update to the new version and encounter a fatal error preventing them from running. In the eplusout.ERR file the error I get is: Last severe error=<root>[ZoneHVAC:TerminalUnit:VariableRefrigerantFlow][VRF Zone Terminal][maximum_outdoor_dry_bulb_temperature_for_supplemental_heater_operation] - Value type "string" for input "NaN" not permitted by 'type' constraint.
It looks like this is a new field for VRF zone terminal units in this version. I have subsequently gone back into the OS model to update the field with a value (trying the default 69.8F), but the values do not stay in the model -- they disappear when i switch to edit a new VRF terminal and go back to a previous one. I suspect this may have to do with the fact that I don't have a supplemental heating coil defined. I am not interested in modelling a supplemental heating coil in the VRF terminals, but I would love to get these models to run. Any help much appreciated!
