Choose OpenStudio template without SketchUp plug-in?

How can I choose an OpenStudio template without the SketchUp plug-in (as described in the "Choosing a template" section of the tutorial here: https://nrel.github.io/OpenStudio-user-documentation/tutorials/creating_your_model/#envelope)? I don't have the SketchUp plug-in and am trying to create a building in OpenStudio 2.9.1 with the built-in Geometry tool (using FloorspaceJS); I want to set the Space Types to represent a primary school and try using the "Create Typical Building from Model" OpenStudio measure in BCL but the only Space Types showing up in my Library are for an office building.
