I am in the process of performing research for a client that is asking for a general baseline on wattage requirements for plug loads in small retail tenant spaces in shopping malls. This baseline will include specific typical equipment used in small retail spaces like computers, printers (laser and inkjet), monitors, POS systems, televisions, VCRs, calculators, microwaves, stereo audio systems, vacuum cleaners and so on. In the case of some hair salons, hair dryers, clippers hot water heaters would also be of interest since most shopping malls have several hair salons in residence. I would like to find some general industry benchmarks for plug-in wattage loads that would be typical in the existing retail tenants and shopping mall settings. The measure that I need is wattage as a load whether it is at full use, sleep, standby or other setting if possible. General duration of use of these plug components during a typical workday is important to my analysis. Any generic modeling of these types of plug components will be very useful. Any compendium, manual or guidance (possibly for architectural purposes?) would be very useful. If you could point me in the direction of resources like that I would greatly appreciate it.
