I am trying to modify a exported idf file from Beopt to implement a Ice Thermal Storage system for residential applications. The exported idf file uses a Coil:Cooling:DX:SingleSpeed to model a SEER 13 central air conditioner to supply cooling to the building through a unitary system. I want to use the Coil:Cooling:DX:SingleSpeed:ThermalStorage to model the same SEER 13 central air conditioner but with the addition of the thermal storage unit. However, I am having trouble implementing the Coil:Cooling:DX:SingleSpeed:ThermalStorage because it requires 2 SHR modifier curves to run while the Coil:Cooling:DX:SingleSpeed has these 2 curves as optional inputs and the Beopt model does not supply them.
I have looked into how the SHR is calculated in both Coil objects in the Engineering Reference documentation section: Performance Curves and Lookup Tables, subsection: Single-Speed Electric DX Air Cooling Coil. It provides 2 ways to that EnergyPlus calculates the SHR depending on if the curves are supplied or not. I am trying to figure out a way to generate both of the Sensible Heat Ration Function of Temperature Curve and Sensible Heat Ration Function of Flow Curve to supply to the Coil:Cooling:DX:SingleSpeed:ThermalStorage but I am unsure of how to do so.
Does anyone have an idea of how to generate these SHR modifier curves based on outputs of the original Coil:Cooling:DX:SingleSpeed or that can point me in a direction of general SHR modifier curves?
