Model a 2 -stage heat pump with the Coil:Heating:DX:MultiSpeed object

Hi all,

Is the Coil:Heating:DX:MultiSpeed intended to model 2- stage heat pumps (or 3, 4 stage heat pumps)? Is this what is meant by "discrete compressor speed" in the documentation, discrete stages?
