Electrical distribution efficiency

Hello!

What do you think about taking a credit for energy efficiency measures connected with efficiency of electrical systems and equipment like transformers, generators, uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs), power distribution units (PDUs) or switchgear? I am working on data center project with rather tight LEED requirements and was wondering if it's worthwhile to include efficiency of this equipment. What is your experience and practise? Have you ever included this issue in your models?

If yes, how would you model it? Increased energy consumption in baseline model or lowered heat gains in proposed?
