Modeling local evaporative coler/humidifier in thermal zone (No HVAC connection)

Is it possible to model a local evaporative cooler (or equivalently, a humidifier) directly inside a single thermal zone in EnergyPlus without connecting it to an HVAC system?

Any suggestions on how to represent this without defining a full HVAC system?
