What is the best way to model linear thermal bridges in EnergyPlus?

I've considered adjusting U-values, but I found that using SurfaceProperty:HeatBalanceSourceTerm might be a more accurate approach. My idea is to pre-calculate the heat loss using Ψ-values, convert it to W/m², and apply it as a scheduled heat loss to the affected surface. Has anyone tried this method, or is there a better way to handle linear thermal bridges?
