I executed an OpenStudio model in PAT (Parametric Analysis Tool, V3.7.0), which failed with the error [20:03:33.184881 ERROR] Found error in state 'initialization' with message [Failed to load OSM file .... I tried to find the reason, and after digging into the model (starting from the simple model and progressively making it more complex), I found out that the reason for this failure was adding an Air-to-Air Heat Exchanger to the HVAC system of the building!

The model works well in OpenStudio without any error (I use openstudioapplication-1.8.0), but in PAT it fails. Without Heat Exchanger, PAT runs the model very well, but as soon as I add the Heat Exchanger, it fails.

Anybody else encountered this error before? Any thoughts on what would be the effects of adding a Heat Exchanger to make the model fails?
