jEPlus: Does using the Window:Inrerzone setting affect the output of the results?

In jEPlus, does using the Window:Inrerzone setting affect the output of the zone mean air temperature results?

I am currently considering installing an opening in an apartment complex where the entrance area meets the hallway. I believe that the interior opening needs to have a starting point for each of the adjacent zones, which makes it difficult to parameterize the size of the opening.

We have tried this setup and while Energyplus works fine SimResults does not show any results for the zone mean air temperature that I tried to output using rvi. (Also, when I use FenestrationSurfase:Detailed, it works fine.

I used the same settings for rvi as in the answer to a previous question on this site.

Please let me know if you can shed any light on this.

Hi Kan, did you mean that adding inter-zone windows did not change the mean air temperature result as external windows did, or did the model stop reporting mean air temperature in the output after adding inter-zone windows?

Thanks for your reply.

After adding the window between zones, I was getting an error meaning that the model was no longer reporting the average temperature in the output, but it seems there was a problem with the rvi file and after correcting it, the results came out fine.

Thank you for your response.
