Issue with AirflowNetwork:SimulationControl in EnergyPlus
Hi everyone,
I am currently working on an EnergyPlus model containing an AirflowNetwork. This model contains multiple (AFN) zones that are served with air through a supply path by a supply fan (Fan:ConstantVolume). The air is then returned through a return path and should leave the AirLoop by going through a heatexchanger (HeatExchanger:AirToAir:SensibleAndLatent) another (return) fan (also Fan:ConstantVolume).
According to my understanding the «AirflowNetwork:SimulationControl» should be set to «MultizoneWithDistribution» (as I have a complete HVAC system). However, under this setting neither the supply fan nor the return fan will have a mass flow rate. On the other hand, when I set the SimulationControl to «MultizoneWithoutDistribution» both fans seem to operate correctly, and I can observe a mass flow rate for the fans as well as all the ZoneAirTerminals. Has anyone else experienced this issue or could provide some guidance on how to resolve this problem?
