TRNSYS and JEPlus

asked May 7

updated May 7

Hello! I'm a new TRNSYS user. I need to carry out parametric studies with JEPlus but I'm confused about the first steps to do that. Can someone help me with this issue? Thanks a lot!

There isn't a tutorial on using jEPlus with TRNSYS, except for a few sections in the manual (e.g. https://www.jeplus.org/wiki/doku.php?...). However, if you understand the process of jEPlsu and know enough about TRNSYS model structures, it should be straightforward enough. Here are jEPlus' manual (https://www.jeplus.org/wiki/doku.php?...) and tutorial videos (https://www.youtube.com/user/jEPlusMedia).

Thank you very much Yi! I have been able to advance with the parameterizations. I understand that result collection only supports TRNSYS printer (Type 25). However, I'm having problems defining the optimization process because I'm confused about the "report variable" that later defines the "objective variable". I would greatly appreciate a suggestion about this. Thank you

Once the results are collected, look inside AllCombinedResults.csv and you will see that the column headers of the collected values start with "c?:". These are the variable names to be used in the equations defining the objective functions.
