EnergyPlus Weather program still uses ASHRAE 2013 design conditions. Are there any plans to update that to current ASHRAE 2021 weather conditions?

I don't know how many people are using the EnergyPlus Weather program to convert weather data to the epw format, but I've noticed that the program when downloaded with the current EnergyPlus Version 24 still says it's version 8.1.0 and uses ASHRAE 2013 Design Conditions, which are now 8 years out of date and superceded by ASHRAE 2017 and 2021 Design Conditions. Are there any plans to update the Weather program to use more current versions of the ASHRAE Design Conditions? Since the ASHRAE Design Conditions are read into Weather as external files, could that be done by replacing the three files ASHRAE_2013_*.csv with more current versions of the files obtained from ASHRAE?

Good question, I would also like to see this. I created a GitHub issue for it here: https://github.com/NREL/EnergyPlus/is...
