Thermal zone's annual heating and cooling load

asked 2024-03-13 03:10:00 -0600

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could assist me in obtaining the annual thermal zone contributions to the total HVAC load from the OpenStudio Results. The heating and cooling load of each thermal zone for the entire year is what I am looking for, instead of the monthly heating and cooling loads displayed in the OpenStudio Result. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. I am using OpenStudio.

To calculate for a specific zone rather than the entire building, you can condition just the targeted area while leaving the other zones unconditioned.

Thank you very much. I have tried the suggested method, but it did not give me the required values. For example, when I added up the heating load of all the thermal zones when each one was conditioned individually, it did not match the total heating load of the entire building when all the thermal zones were conditioned together. Additionally, I noticed that when only one thermal zone (thermal zone 1) was conditioned while the others were not, the air temperature of an unconditioned thermal zone (thermal zone 2) was not the same as when the entire building was unconditioned.
