Hi there,

I'm trying to run energy simulations through JEPlus v2.1.0 with the energyplus version 23.2. However I keep running into this error message when validating the project:

"Cannot find an E+ installation to handle model version 23.2 of the project! Warning: no report variable is defined. This project may not work with jEPlus+EA."

I was wondering if this has anything to do with the compatibility of the newest EP version to JEPlus. Is there a quick work around or is the only option to downgrade the IDF file to be compatible to JEPlus?

Thanks!

Hi,

Have you selected the location of E+ v23.2 in jEPlus? See the screenshot below.

Hi, yes I have. I am currently trying to downgrade the EP file to v8.9 and re-running it. Did v23.3 work for you?

Yep. If it still doesn't work, please share your system setup e.g. the OS and paths to E+ etc.
