Hello all, long time lurker, finally asking a question as I am at a loss: I have a model I created using OpenStudio Application v3.6.1; a decently simple 26,000 ft^2 office with four DX/electric resistant heating RTUs which runs without issue. I am wanting to get familiar with measure writing and the like especially for calibration using OpenStudio PAT 3.7 tool; I also have OpenStudio SDK v3.7 installed. To start, I wanted to make sure it functioned manually with measures from BCL. I saved a version of the model, without any measures, as the model seed along with the weather file in a folder directly in my C:\ drive. I found that previous users had issues with directory names which are long and/or with spaces. I created a PAT project in the same manner. In that project I loaded two basic measures, 'General Calibration Measure Multiplier' and the 'OpenStudio Results' measure. These were setup to increase lighting use factor by 1.1 and report the results. When I try to run this in PAT I get the following error on the first alternative; the second alternative gets stuck because of this. Any help is appreciated.

Error: The worker initialization failed, which means that no simulations will be run.
Error: If you see this message once, all subsequent runs will likely fail.
Error If you are running PAT simulations locally on Windows, the error is likely due to a measure file whose path length has exceeded 256 characters.
Error Inspect the following messages for clues as to the specific issue:
Error: Extraction of the analysiszip file failed 3 times with error No such file or directory @ rb_sysopen - JCl_LenexaKSBranch/temp_data/analysis_dc3c3a68-af77-4d96-9060-0fc18bae0448/measures/6b37673b-b0d8-4ab4-8f5a-Oa48f170b4e8/resources/Siz.CoilCoolingWaterToAirHeatPumpVariableSpeedEquationFitSpeedData.rb; 'rescue in block in initialize_worker'

Thanks

is this a shared drive or something? I would expect the path to be 'c:\ something something', instead its 'JCl_LenexaKSBranch/' its complaining that path doesnt exist

I actually managed to fix the issue! Even with it being just one folder down from the C drive, the directory length was still too long. I placed the project directory directly on the C drive and that seemed to fix the issue. Then I ran into the issue of E+ in the seed file using version 23.2 instead of version 23.1 which the PAT seemed to use. I fixed this by deleting the energy plus files in the ParametricAnalysisTool-3.7.0 on my C drive and replacing it with the contents of the energy plus folder labeled EnergyPlusV23-2-0 on my C drive. Hope this helps others that run across the same problem.
