EnergyPlus Command Line Interface - Issue 4544

asked 2015-07-28 13:01:29 -0500

updated 2015-11-08 08:58:55 -0500

I noticed that EnergyPlus v8.3 has the following new feature: "#4544 : Add a proper command line interface to EnergyPlus". I wasn't able to find any documentation on this interface. Does anyone know where I can learn more about it?

@jmcneill, where would you expect to find this documentation? Previous to the CLI, there was a woefully dated section buried in the Auxiliary Programs document. That doesn't seem to be appropriate to me. Maybe somewhere else in the documentation (e.g., getting started)?

@Neal Kruis I think that Getting Started is a good place. Somewhere that someone just starting out would think to look.

Like any good CLI, the documentation is available via the CLI itself!
