I am trying to simulate indirect heating model using boiler with water heater or heat exchanger.

The model we are currently thinking of is to supply hot water in the pool through water heater.

A heating coil exists in the water heater for indirect heating of the water heater, and the hot water flowing through the heating coil is supplied through the boiler.

However, when I looked at the use and source side inlet and outlet node temperature of water heater, water heater was not the way I thought it was, even though it had the direct heat mode as default.

Based on the setpoint of the water heater, the outlet temperature of the use side and the source side are the same. Is this the indirect heating method I'm trying to do?

In my opinion, assuming a water heater with a built-in heating coil, when the set temperature of the water heater is 30 degrees, if the boiler supplies 60 degrees of water to the heating coil, the outlet node of the source side should be distributed between 60 and 50 degrees, not 30 degrees.

Does EnergyPlus not support modeling of the indirect heating method I want?

A lot of insights are needed..
