I want to create a measure that allows for the following inputs, and creates the appropriately shaped geometry in OpenStudio: Number of Floors, Units per Floor, Floor Area per Unit, and Building Shape (such as rectangle, square, C and H-shapes). I am wondering what the easiest way to alter the number of units for a given template shape would be. For instance, if I create a C-shape OS geometry template in Sketchup with 20 units, is there an easy way to make a C-shape multifamily apartment OS model with 40 units using an OS measure?

Have you taken a look at the "Create Standard Building Shapes" scripts in the Extensions menu of the PlugIn? This is what the "Set U-Shape Floorplan" does.

The space/zone partitioning for the templates may not meet your needs, from your description above, but this would be a good place to start.
