Hi,

As written in the title, I'm have problems with addons using E+83. The computer is running under Win7 64bits. Sketchup 2015 looks fine, as well as Energy plus 8.3 separatedly: I tested E+8.3 with a 8.3 file and epw weather file. (still can't have a battery working well with PV arrays but I'm on it).

OpenStudio.exe crashes at launch. The version used is 1.7.0. ParametricAnalysisTool and ResultsViewer seem to work fine.

legacyopenstudiov1.0.13.rbz is installed correctly. However, "Data Dictionary file Energy+.idd" can't be found, so the plugin isn't loaded properly.

I just wonder if the "ç" in the windows user name wouldn't be responsible of this mess.

Regards,

Hi! Are there any results concerning this problem? I guess I encounter a similar problem on a machine here (32 Bit Win7, E+ 8.3, Sketchup 2015 make ... but portuguese installation, i.e. plugin folder resides in c:\Usários\Usário\AppData\Roaming\Sketchup\Sketchup2015\plugins...) Is there an alternative search path for plugins in Sketchup 2015? Regards Chris

@chris, there is a specific issue related to Windows 7 users using the 32bit (vs. the 64bit) version of SketchUp. This post has additional details.

Hi!

Thanks for the reply but actually the problem is / was really the accent in the folder name. So as a workaround I copied the files from

c:\users\usário\AppData\Sketchup\Sketchup 2015\Sketchup\Plugins... to

c:\ programData\Sketchup\Sketchup 2015\Sketchup\Plugins...

Maybe someone can fix the ruby script for a future version?!? It could also be nice to have a dialog asking where the plugin should be installed (or more explicit for the current user only or for all users), installing the plugin already in the programData folder.

Best regards Chris

I would also try under another user name without any special characters to see if that works.
