A bug in results summary is very misleading

I ran my simulation (EP8.2, Radiance 5, OpenStudio 1.7) and on the results summary tab I found out that I am getting lighting and equipment loads only for three months!!!!

To find what the problem is with my model, I asked for monthly report for each zone in OpenStudio and I opened sql in resultviewer directly. Then, I found out the model has actually monthly loads; however, it is not showing up in the results summary tab.

Did you check the lighting and equipment schedules, see if they are not set off during other months.

Could you post your model (.osm) somewhere so we could take a look at it?

Sara, I ran the model obtained from the link above, and cannot duplicate the behavior. My electricity consumption plot in the "high level summary" in the OpenStudio Application has loads for all 12 months and mirrors the profile you show in your ResultsViewer plot above. I would try running the model again, perhaps using the latest iteration release of OpenStudio.

@rpg777 well, I do not know why you get loads for all 12 months in the OpenStudio application because I do not. In fact, I have the same error for other models. Since I am familiar with OpenStudio, and EP, I can figure out that the results showing in the OpenStudio application is wrong. But I think it is a problem for people who are new and just snap the results from the OpenStudio application in their reports. I hope it gets fixed soon.

This looks like the same problem asked here, and is likely caused by a bug with the version of EnergyPlus, as outlined here and here. Try removing EnergyPlus 8.2.0, installing v8.2.0-Update-1, then running scan for tools.
