I am trying to model an active Trombe wall for a small single zone open office space, where the Trombe wall acts as a zone supply plenum in the Winter, and then is switched off in the summer. I have come across the example active trombe wall idf file supplied by energy plus which uses an additional zone for the Trombe wall and then uses an air loop with a simple fan schedule, however I want to model a full year in fairly realistic conditions, where I will be modelling the internal gains of occupants, lighting and equipment. Therefore, I want to be modelling the heating in winter and cooling in summer, as well as the mechanical ventilation required year round. As I will be making relative comparisons between results, I am happy using the idealairloads system, however with relatively little experience in modelling the HVAC systems in energy plus, I am unsure how this could be implemented alongside the supplementing air loop from the Trombe wall in winter.

A little side query also - is it necessary that an additional zone is created for the Trombe wall, or can it still work within one zone but using an internal partition?
